Each piece is handmade and comes FRAMED and READY TO HANG! I stencil lyrics on upcycled textbook pages, from my college “philosophy of art“ textbook, I make an archival reprint of the original textbook page and then hand add photo collage.
I have always loved these JAY Z lyrics. In making this piece, I went through dozens of images until I figured out what I wanted to do. I burn the bottom of each print and add sparkle paint to images of actual ice dams from my roof, in winter! Thank you to Jay-Z for the inspiration and, my ice dams for being useful! I appreciate that Minnesota has given this Miami girl a home and a ton of inspiration in winter!
